Description
The Nutrition situation in South Sudan has remained precarious over the years owing to chronic food insecurity. The populations displaced from South Kordofan and Blue Nile states from 2011 owing to conflict, were installed into camps in the Maban county and high levels of malnutrition among the children was described as a humanitarian crisis. A survey conducted by Médecins sans Frontières -Belgium (MSF-B) in Batil camps subsequently in August 2012, revealed Global Acute Malnutrition (GAM) rate of 39.8%. The United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in collaboration with World Food Programme (WFP), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and partners Samaritan’s purse (SP), Goal, International Medical Corps (IMC), Médecins sans Frontières -Belgium and Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED), carried out a nutrition survey in each of the four main camps of Maban County, Upper Nile state: Gendrassa, Doro, Batil and Jammam Camps. The four surveys took place between 20th February and 6th March 2013, targeting the refugee population.

Description
The report doesn't take into account Refugee relocation figures and it is reflecting both Jamam and Kaya population . Relocation will be reflected in the Weekly Report once migration of registered refugees from Jamam to Kaya Database will be done. Jamam population as of 19th of May is 11,921 (2,948 Household).
