  Highlights

The UNHCR’s Award for Team Achievements in Gender Integration goes to the dedicated work in increasing the attention to the needs of women, girls, boys and men in the development of refugee programming in Jordan. The Jordan Refugee Inter-Sector Working Group has set up a cross-sectoral network called the Sector Gender Focal Point Network focusing on the promotion of gender equality. They developed a tool to monitor Gender Equality Measures in humanitarian projects within a pilot project.

UNHCR welcomes the announcement from the GoJ regarding the waiving of fees for Syrian refugees for annual work permits in the coming 3 months (until the 4th of July).

USAID has launched new five-year, $50 million Health Service Delivery Flagship to expand the capacity of the health system. The goal is to improve access to quality services through expanding health networks; promoting the integration of key reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health interventions; and fostering community ownership to increase health facility accountability
