15/05/2013: Paryang camp is officially closed, all Refugees were relocated over the past three days to Ajuong Thok without any significant problem.

Yusuf Batil Biometric Verification/Registration: as of 28/05/2013 29,322 individuals have been verified (77% of Refugee camp population).

Biometric verification ended the 9th of July 2013. 53% of the Refugee population in Makpandu camp didn't show up during the exercise.

Cholera epidemics was declared in the territories of Fizi and Uvira. No cases have been reported so far in refugees hosting structures. Preventive measures were put in place.

In the new site of Mulongwe works are ongoing with two operational partners (MEDEOR and CARITAS) working with their own funds. However, works have slowed down due to the worsening security situation in Fizi territory.

Following the death of 38 Burundian refugees and asylum seekers in Kamanyola, South Kivu, in a confrontation with armed forces, UNHCR is providing emergency aid and called for investigation.
