Working Group Description

The Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence (CP/GBV) Sub-Working Group is a coordination platform that strengthens prevention, response, and protection for children and survivors of gender-based violence in Jordan. Operating under a humanitarian–development nexus approach, the Working Group supports coordinated and quality service delivery, promotes harmonized standards and referral systems, and enables evidence-based planning and accountability in alignment with national frameworks, the JRP/3RP, and international standards. Through joint planning, monitoring, capacity strengthening, and advocacy, the CP/GBV SWG enhances national capacity, addresses service gaps and duplication, and advances protection priorities across humanitarian and development responses. The Working Group is co-led by UNHCR, UNFPA, and UNICEF, ensuring harmonized leadership and coordination across child protection and GBV interventions. Membership may include national and local NGOs, international NGOs, UN agencies, government entities, CBOs, and donors.
