Methodology description: The Household Assessment aims to assess people with functional limitation taking into consideration: - Their functional limitation - Their needs in terms of household modifications - The impact of the “inaccessibility” of their accommodation on their social participation and access to services The different parts allow to: - Identify problems related to household accessibility - Find the solutions - Identify potential needs for external referral to responds to needs that cannot be solely solved by household modification - Filter and prioritize people once the data collection completed Instructions: All the questions of this assessment have to be asked directly to the person with functional limitation (including people using sign language, children…). Only in case of the respondent is not able to answer for himself, the questions can be asked to their main caregiver (i.e close family member).

The aim of this project is to make accessible the shelter of people with functional limitation in Zaatari Camp. This project is led by UNHCR with the involvement of IRD Case Managers for the identification of the beneficiaries and NRC Engineers for the shelter modifications. Handicap International (HI) is in charge to support technically this project by providing a technical assessment, train the people involved and plan a follow-up visit to supervise the shelter modifications.
