Hungarian Red Cross
HunRC
The Hungarian Red Cross was founded in 1881. Its foundation was recognised by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in 1882. The Hungarian Red Cross has been a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) since 1921. Its main tasks include blood donor recruitment, first aid, social welfare, disaster management and Red Cross Youth activities. Its Tracing Service restores family links broken as a consequence of armed conflicts or natural disasters. The Hungarian Red Cross county, town and area branches cover the entire country. Unconditional help and the permanence of charity is the way, how the Red Cross with its volunteers cares for the weak and vulnerable. Red Cross volunteers are those exceptional people, who give their time, talent, enthusiasm and support to serve the needs of others and help improve their lives while asking for nothing in return but the satisfaction of giving.
