By the end of July 2023, a total of 8.01 million people remain displaced within and from South Sudan and Sudan. This includes 2.24 million refugees from South Sudan and a further 1.27 million refugees from Sudan, as well as 1.47 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in South Sudan and 3.02 million IDPs in Sudan.
