Domiz 2 refugee camp was established in 2013 to accommodate Syrian refugees who were initially hosted in Domiz I camp. Since its opening, have provided essential protection and services to the camp’s population, with relevant government departments gradually assuming responsibility for service provision over recent years. UNHCR supports the Ministry of Interior’s Directorate of Migration and Crisis Response (MoI/DMCR) which have sub-contracted the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), to manage and coordinate services for the camp.
