A new inter-agency analysis reveals the ongoing economic vulnerability of Ukrainian refugees across ten neighboring countries. While this population's economic situation has improved since last year, 40% still live below the poverty line after accounting for the disproportionately high housing costs that refugees face. The analysis also uncovers the likely presence of significant underemployment and skills mismatching. About 60% of employed refugees now work in sectors entirely different from their backgrounds, with minimal wage premiums for higher education levels.
