UNHCR supports States to protect and assist forcibly displaced and stateless people, ensuring their access to territory, an environment in which rights are respected. UNHCR programmes contributed to improved access to education, health care, safe water, shelter and self-reliance activities for thousands of displaced and vulnerable host families in Niger. UNHCR and its partners made progress in finding solutions for displaced people such as resettlement and sustainable responses promoting inclusion and economic empowerment.
