Violence escalated in eastern DRC despite the ceasefire negotiated by Angola, which was to take effect on 18 February. Reports indicated drone strikes, killings, abductions and other human rights violations across affected areas. Mass internal displacement was also reported in North Kivu, South Kivu and Ituri provinces as a result of these clashes.
