The protection environment in Lebanon has significantly deteriorated amid escalating violence, with over 1.04 million people displaced, 6,445 incidents recorded, and 1,888 deaths reported as of early April. Widespread insecurity, repeated displacement, and limited access to services are intensifying vulnerabilities, particularly for children, women, and marginalized groups. A growing proportion of IDPs remain outside collective shelters, facing reduced access to basic services, overcrowding, and heightened risks of gender-based violence (GBV), exploitation, and psychological distress. Despite operational constraints, protection partners reached 93,072 individuals with protection, child protection, and GBV services. This includes 43,739 people reached through awareness sessions, 34,105 receiving psychosocial support and case management, and 10,293 women and girls provided with dignity kits.
