UNHCR Regional Bureau for Europe: Mixed Movements Arrival Trends - 2026 Q2

نوع الوثيقة: Dashboards & Factsheets
اللغة: English
This 2026 Q2 report shows that while movements increased seasonally during the second quarter, overall arrivals across the Mediterranean and Western Africa Atlantic routes remained significantly below 2025 levels. In the first half of 2026, over 43,000 arrivals were recorded, representing a 37% decrease compared to the same period last year. The Eastern Mediterranean route became the highest-volume route by mid-year, with nearly 17,000 arrivals. The Western Mediterranean route was the only route reporting arrivals above 2025 levels, driven largely by increased arrivals of Algerian nationals. Arrivals through South-Eastern Europe remained broadly stable compared to 2025.
