Six More Killed as Violence Continue in Plateau Villages

Violence continued in Plateau State as gunmen swooped on Takowok and Rahol Gasa villages of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the state, killing at least six persons.
THISDAY gathered that two men including a member of the state security outfit, Operation Rainbow, were attacked and killed at a farm in Takowok village on Tuesday afternoon, while four others were killed in Rahol Gasa, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Mr. Titus Samuel, a member of the community gave the names of victims of Takowok attack as Habila Fom and Joseph Bayi Dungim.

Pastor Badung Davou, whose daughter in-law, Felicia Badung and grandson, Amos Badung were also killed in Rahol Gasa, said the gunmen attacked the community at 9:04 pm.

The village head, Boyi Deme said a woman named Evelyn and her two-year old son, Chuwang were also killed in the attack.

Efforts to get the Special Task Force (STF) Media and Information Officer, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, to confirm the attack was unsuccessful as his phone lines were unreachable
