Fatima, who did not provide her last name as her husband is still in Syria, told Al-Shorfa she and her family decided to make the journey because the situation in Qalamoun was unbearable. "On Saturday morning (November 16th), my family and I left under heavy shelling, taking only the clothes we were wearing," she said.
