The Committee on the Rights of the Child today considered the second periodic report of the Central African Republic on its implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Flavien Mbata, Minister of Justice, Human Rights, and Keeper of the Seals of the Central African Republic, introducing the report, said that the Central African Republic had harmonized its legal framework with international norms in the domain of children’s rights, and had adopted the law on worst forms of child labour, raised the age of criminal responsibility to 13,
