Protection Monitoring provides insights into the profiles, displacement patterns, protection risks, priority needs, and intentions of Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic. Data is collected quarterly, with 400 interviews per wave. The data collection aims to identify trends in the protection environment and track their development over time. It informs national and regional protection advocacy, planning, and resource allocation by providing timely, evidence-based information on refugees’ needs, access to basic services, and their intentions. The findings are indicative rather than statistically representative due to the non-probabilistic nature of the sample. However, the sample size was designed to ensure sufficient diversity and coverage for an evidence-based understanding of key trends and needs among TP holders. The sampling method was purposive but included pre-defined quotas for gender and region of residence, aligned with data from the Ministry of Interior.
