CRS Egypt
Each year CRS Egypt serves over 10,000 children of refugees and asylum seekers with educational grants to go to kindergarten, primary, and secondary school. The opportunity to go to school in Egypt helps children integrate into their new environment while sustaining their education, and creates a way for parents to interact and support each other. CRS supplements the educational grants with non-formal educational and cultural events consisting of field trips and seminars to enhance their learning and interaction with Egyptian society. This project has been funded in the past eight years by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and CRS private funding. CRS Egypt provides UNHCR educational grants to Syrian refugees in Egypt.
