    Ukrainian Space Daycare Program is an educational center for Ukrainian schoolchildren whose families ended up in Budapest due to the war. Our goal is to promote the preservation of the native language, traditions of the Ukrainian people and the mastery of the school curriculum by children from Ukraine, to familiarize them with the culture and customs of the Hungarian people, and to contribute to the creation of conditions for a high-quality standard of living for internally displaced persons from Ukraine in Hungary.

    The Ukrainian Refugee Education Center (UREC) is a grassroots, refugee-women-led organization in Hungary, established to support Ukrainian refugee children aged 3-17. It provides safe, high-quality educational and psychological support, helping children adapt to the Hungarian system while maintaining their national identity through the Ukrainian curriculum. Led by dedicated Ukrainian teacher-volunteers, UREC is fully inclusive, offering specialized support for children with special educational needs. Prioritizing both mental and physical health, it provides sports activities, healthy meals, and psychological care to ensure children's well-being. UREC also supports the refugee parent community by offering psychological aid, language courses, and food assistance. All services are provided for free.

    Ukrainian program at Piarista Secondary School

    Piarista Gymnasium is one of the oldest public schools in the city. It belongs to the order of the same name with its mission of education for children in need. At the outbreak of the war, teachers and volunteers set up a daycare program for Ukrainian families who had fled to Budapest. The program developed into an educational center that helps Ukrainian kids to catch up with their studies in Hungarian schools and teaches 180 students from Ukraine every week.
