    Vámos Foundation

    Vámos

The Vámos Aid Foundation began its operations in October 2022. Our story began with Tatyána Vámos, who joined the volunteers helping Ukrainian refugees in Hungary from the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian war. She found accommodation for the families, transported the refugees by car from the Ukrainian-Hungarian border to Budapest, and worked as a translator. With her help, 600 families were placed in Hungary in the first two months. Our main goal is to help Ukrainian refugees forced to leave their homeland. We support their integration into local society, and we provide assistance to victims of war and violence, especially single women and their children. We provide psychological support to mothers, organize educational programs, and organize interactive activities for children to ease the psychological trauma caused by the war and give them the opportunity to open up to society.
