  • The Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that Syrian children without certificates from Syria cannot officially enrol in Lebanese schools. While they can attend, they will not receive accreditation. UN agencies are requesting that this decision be rescinded. Most positively, the Ministry announced that it will facilitate Syrian families’ sheltering in abandoned public schools, and submitted a list of such schools to UNHCR and partners for mapping purposes.
