UNHCR is working with state governments in White Nile and East Darfur to improve access to birth registration for refugee children born in Sudan.

Total new arrivals in 2017 so far is approximately 183,516 refugees. Over 461,000 South Sudanese refugees have fled to Sudan since December 2013.
