The Government of Zimbabwe and UNHCR will be mobilizing resources and initiating plans for the registration and relocation of Mozambicans from the buffer zone in Chipenge District to Tongogara refugee camp. Relocation is planned to start on December 5th.

UNHCR and the Government of Malawi continue to register Mozambican in Luwani camp at an average of 100 new arrivals per week.

In the framework of the UNHCR’s winter support programme 87,497 PTT Cards have been delivered and 430,274 persons of concern have been accessed.

UNHCR and Government of Zimbabwe continue to assess the situation in Chipenge District where 6,825 individuals arrived. This is a mixed flow composed by 5,649 Mozambican and 1,176 Zimbabwean nationals previously residing in Mozambican areas.

On 16 November 2016, UNHCR, BRHA and Duhok Statistics Office (DSO) launched new study of Refugees, IDPs & Host Community in urban areas in Duhok Gov Office.

Continuous arrivals of IDPs has put the population total of the Zelikan camp in the Duhok governorate at 3,856.
