2 June 2017 – As thousands of refugees return from Cameroon to north-eastern Nigeria, straining the few existing services and creating a new emergency, the United Nations refugee agency is stepping up its response to improve conditions

A further 527 Venezuelan citizens have been relocated from Boa Vista to the cities of Sao Paulo, Manaus and Cuiaba in Brazil. The relocation was carried out by the Brazilian Army with the support of UNHCR on 15 May.

The Pacaraima Reception Center offers information, social and health services for Venezuelans who choose to stay in Brazil. UNHCR is carrying out biometric registration at the centre and identifying specific needs.
