In Kakuma the weekly disease surveillance report showed a steady decline in incidence of malaria, one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality

From 16-20 February, two Donors missions were carried out in Kakuma from DFID and PRM to monitor their funded projects as well as coordination mechanisms.

On 23 February 2015,Vodafone Foundation Director visited Kakuma to discuss the set-up of the Instant Networked Schools,a successful project done also in Dadaab.

On 8th March Int.Women Day was celebrated in Kakuma under the theme "Make it Happen".Refugees women leaders led UNHCR and partners with many colorful events.

A team from UNHCR and WFP HQ's is currently in Kakuma to monitor the implementation of the biometrics food distribution system that was introduced in Oct. 2013.

On April 2nd UNHCR Kakuma handed over eight projects funded for the host community in various locations in the sub-county and implemented by Lokado NGO.

“Artistes for Refugees" a livelihoods project funded by UNHCR was officially launched in KK on20 April with the arrival of Henry Ohanga, well known as Octoppizo

On 23 April,AAR Japan’s Director Overseas and Domestic Operations,Ms. Ikuko Natori, visited Kakuma to discuss also new sec.school for refugees & host community.

On 04 May 2015, the Executive Director of the Board of USA for UNHCR, key donor, visited Kakuma to identifying potential sustainable livelihood projects.

On 11th May, "United Drama Kakuma" youth group who won the global youth initiatives funds kicked started their project involving also host community leaders.
