On 04 May 2015, the Executive Director of the Board of USA for UNHCR, key donor, visited Kakuma to identifying potential sustainable livelihood projects.

Team from "United for Africa", UNHCR fundraising partner in Germany, visited Kakuma from 31 August for one week to raise support/advocacy for Kenya refugees.

On 23 February 2015,Vodafone Foundation Director visited Kakuma to discuss the set-up of the Instant Networked Schools,a successful project done also in Dadaab.

On 8th March Int.Women Day was celebrated in Kakuma under the theme "Make it Happen".Refugees women leaders led UNHCR and partners with many colorful events.

On 23 April,AAR Japan’s Director Overseas and Domestic Operations,Ms. Ikuko Natori, visited Kakuma to discuss also new sec.school for refugees & host community.

As 30th July 2015, In Kakuma 4, 782 durable shelters were constructed for new arrivals and assessment of shelter needs is ongoing.

In KK activities to mark World breastfeeding week kicked off on 1st August and will run until 7th,including community sensitization/dialogue on breastfeeding

On 11th May, "United Drama Kakuma" youth group who won the global youth initiatives funds kicked started their project involving also host community leaders.

In KK preparations for polio campaign are underway and all required vaccines and supplies have been received. Malaria cases are closely monitored with partners.

During the week in Kakuma, US Embassy Dep.Refugee Coordinator,distributed with UNHCR various equipment/footballs to support sport activities among refugees.
