As part of a two-day mission to Ethiopia (9-10 Feb.), UNHCR Deputy High Commissioner Alexander T. Aleinikoff and the Chief Executive Officer of IKEA Foundation, Mr. Per Heggenes, visited Kobe and Bur Amino camps on 10 February 2012. Dollo Ado camps are currently preparing for Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. The sixteen days in question, Nov 25th to Dec 10th each year, encompass International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, International Human Rights Day, Universal Children’s Day and World AIDS Day. The campaign will use a variety of activities, including sport, music, drama, coffee ceremonies and community discussions.
