619 urban refugees and asylum seekers have been forcefully relocated to Dadaab since 18th April. Others came on their own. The majority originate from Somalia.
Dadaab refugees call for peace. World Refugee Day (20th June) will be celebrated in all five Dadaab camps. This year, refugees chose PEACE as the main theme.

The Somali Prime Minister, H.E. Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, visited Dadaab Refugee Camps. He toured a hospital and a school and met refugee representatives.
Some 259 refugees relocated from the outskirts of Dagahaley to Ifo II on 18 August. Simulteneously, the exercise to relocate refugees from the outskirts of Ifo to the Ifo 3 part of the extension continues.
