A Nonviolent Communication introductory workshop was held on 30 May in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina by the Centre for Democracy and Social Peace Studies (CDS) with the support of the New York Centre for Nonviolent Communication. Upon the request and assessment needs of participants during the introductory workshop, a 3 day workshop was conducted by the New York Centre for Non-Violent Communication on 19 July at the Jesuit Cultural Centre. 24 Syrians attended the workshop

A UNHCR football team has been competing in the Fourth Alexandria International Football Tournament, in which refugees and UNHCR staff played together against Alexandria Sporting Club, Egypt Media and Journalists, and Ukraine teams. It provided the team with the opportunity to engage in in a sporting spirit in informal discussions, with local and international media networks, and opened the door for a better understanding of the refugees' situation and conditions in the host country.

A one-day consultation workshop on ‘Adolescent and Youth Programming in a Humanitarian Context’ within the framework of the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) took place today in Cairo on 18 October. The workshop, organized jointly by UNHCR and UNICEF provided an opportunity to improve the knowledge and understanding of the extent to which the current 3RP responses serve youth and adolescents in key sectors and build the capacity of partners.

By end of October, a total of 95,331 Syrian individuals have been assessed under the socio-economic assessment.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) finalized the disbursement of the first installment of the education grant, which benefited 7,277 students.

During November, 109 Syrians were newly registered with UNHCR, while 235individuals closed their cases.
