The DRC ( Danish Refugees Council ) Head of Communications and Fundraising Mr. Peter Hermann Kamph based in Denmark visited Kakuma from 5th – 9th January.

UNHCR hosted a Canadian Selection Mission in Kakuma from 19 - 23 January 2015 to conduct resettlement interview in the camp and to be updated on the situation.

20,156 South Sudanese have been received in Kakuma camp in 2014. Camp population stands at 149,365 which is 635 persons short of the 150,000 capacity threshold

In Kakuma total number of South Sudanese asylum seekers received as of 1st of April 2014 is 31,240.If the current trend continues will reach 50,000 in July 2014

In Kakuma,as of 10th April, a total of 33,399 South Sudanese asylum seekers have arrived through the border point.The total estimated camp population is 163,000
