On 11th May, "United Drama Kakuma" youth group who won the global youth initiatives funds kicked started their project involving also host community leaders.

In KK preparations for polio campaign are underway and all required vaccines and supplies have been received. Malaria cases are closely monitored with partners.

During the week in Kakuma, US Embassy Dep.Refugee Coordinator,distributed with UNHCR various equipment/footballs to support sport activities among refugees.

On April 2nd UNHCR Kakuma handed over eight projects funded for the host community in various locations in the sub-county and implemented by Lokado NGO.

As of 25th June 2014, the number of South Sudanese asylum seekers received in Kakuma is 39,180. This brings the total estimated camp population to 170,965

As of 23 July, the number of asylum seekers from South Sudan in Kakuma camp stood at 40,893. This brings the total estimated camp population to 176,364.

As at 26th November 2014, Kakuma had received 44,282 asylum seekers from South Sudan. This brings the total camp population to 179,126.

In KK General Distribution for NFI's started on 26th January,targeting all camp population and new arrival, while last partial distribution was done 4 years ago

In Kakuma,as of 10th April, a total of 33,399 South Sudanese asylum seekers have arrived through the border point.The total estimated camp population is 163,000
