The Food and Nutrition Security Resilience Programme (FNS-REPRO) is the first FAO programme in Eastern Africa specifically designed to foster peace and food security at scale; by addressing the cause-effect relationship between conflict and food insecurity in Somalia, South Sudan and the Sudan. FAO implements FNS-REPRO in partnership with WUR-WCDI with financial support from the Government of the Netherlands. Featured in this issue are emerging stories of change, from supporting rural communities in Somaliland with diversified livelihoods and peace-building to building community resilience with gum arabic in parts of North Darfur. Please read and share widely with your networks. We continue to follow, with concern, the developing situation of the conflict arising from the power struggle between military factions that erupted this month in the Sudan, that is expected to worsen the already challenging humanitarian situation. To our Sudan colleagues, we pray for peace and for the safety of the Sudanese people
