A joint IDP site verification exercise was conducted in Kismayo town and environs in February 2024. The operation was led by JUCRI, IOM, ACTED/SADO, Juba Foundation, SOVA, SEDHURO, VCI, NRC, LWF, SEA and UNHCR . 197 IDP sites were identified hosting 31,650 households or 187,479 individuals. Compared to the last site verification conducted in June 2023, there was an increase of 26 IDP sites, 7,237 Households or 41,630 individuals. 134 sites were identified as hosting groups from minority populations.
