Recent developments in Syria focus on the influx of people from Lebanon and UNHCR’s efforts to address their needs. On 20 October, UNHCR representatives visited Aleppo to meet newly arrived families and local officials to assess living conditions. In Al-Hasakeh, mobile clinics are being dispatched after coordination with the Directorate of Health to support the arrivals’ medical needs. Around 32,000 vulnerable people received free transportation to their destinations, and 35,000 benefited from core relief items and services. Winter item distribution has begun and will intensify in the coming weeks to meet rising demands.
