Since 2014, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Jordan has monitored refugee socio-economic conditions via the biennial Vulnerability Assessment Framework (VAF) – Socio-Economic Survey on Refugees. To capture trends between the biennial cycles, the Socio-Economic Update was introduced in 2022. Initially quarterly, these updates are now semi-annual, tracking the same families to identify trends and provide long-term insights. This report analyzes self-reported data for the Second Quarter (Q2) of 2024. It includes two sections: findings for refugees in host communities, disaggregated by nationality and cash assistance status, and findings for Syrian refugees in Zaatari and Azraq camps.
