Located in the Shaqlawa district of Erbil Governorate, Basirma camp hosts Kurdish families fleeing Syria. Most residents originate from the Qamishli, Al Malika, and Al-Hasakeh districts. Since October 2014, the camp has also welcomed new arrivals from Kobane, reflecting the ongoing humanitarian challenges faced by this vulnerable group.
