The ILO-UNHCR partnership update highlights our joint efforts for decent work and sustainable solutions for refugees and other forcibly displaced people within the framework of the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding and the current Joint Action Plan (JAP) for 2023-2025. The collaboration between UNHCR and the ILO spans over 35 countries, including through the PROSPECTS partnership. Through our partnership, we have leveraged our complementary mandates and expertise to improve labour market access, decent work conditions, and social protection for forcibly displaced people. Our partnership is crucial for advancing sustainable responses and further operationalizing Sustainable Development Goal 8, the Global Compact on Refugees, the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, the Fair Recruitment Initiative, and Global Coalition for Social Justice.
