Mauritania hosts over 288,000 refugees and asylum seekers, mainly from Mali. The government reaffirmed its inclusive approach at the 2023 Global Refugee Forum by pledging to integrate refugees into the national education system. This includes their inclusion in SIRAGE by 2024, and transitioning Mbera camp schools to the national curriculum by 2027. A 10-year Action Plan and a 3-year Roadmap guide implementation, in line with PNDSE III and national commitments.
