On 16 July, the UNHCR Somalia Acting Representative, accompanied by the DSRSG/RC/HC and representatives from other UN agencies (IOM, UN-Habitat, and UNCDF), went on a joint mission to the Barwaaqo durable solutions site in Baidoa. The delegation visited all three phases of the site to assess progress and identify gaps in key areas, including shelter, livelihoods, education, health, and water services. The delegation further acclaimed the proactiveness of the South West State government towards durable solutions and emphasized the need for a humanitarian reset to match the new funding environment.
