The MENA Communication and Transparency Toolbox is an annex to the chapter three of the MENA Accountability to Affected People (AAP) Toolkit, complementing its broader guidance across the four core AAP commitments. The Toolbox has been developed to support UNHCR MENA operations and partners in strengthening Accountability to Affected People (AAP), in line with Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) commitments, UNHCR’s Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) Policy, the Global Compact on Refugees, and UNHCR’s Strategic Directions 2022–2026. It builds on UNHCR’s Operational Guidance on AAP and UNHCR Ethical Communications Guidelines. The Toolbox is a practical resource designed to help UNHCR staff and partners communicate more effectively with communities. It supports clear, inclusive and two-way communication approaches and provides operational teams with simple, ready-to-use tools to strengthen transparency, trust and accountability in the MENA context.
