The escalation of conflict in Yemen is driving new displacement into Djibouti. Over eight consecutive days, arrivals reached an estimated 2,935 people by the morning of 17 September. Around 60% are estimated to be women and children. While the Markazi settlement has the capacity to host up to 5,000 additional refugees, the increasing number and pace of arrivals could significantly stretch this capacity.
