UNHCR developed the 2022-2024 CBP strategy to respond holistically to the increasing number of refugees and asylum seekers in Costa Rica. The strategy increased its emphasis on Age, Gender, and Diversity (AGD) and the Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) to be more inclusive in the response. UNHCR works together with partners, local authorities, and displaced and local communities to implement and achieve the objectives of the strategy.
