The Boko Haram insurgents are leveraging on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to prolong its war against Nigeria, a top federal government official has said.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja said the government was having problems with some telecoms operators and ICT players for not using their platforms enough to shut out terrorists.
He said though the country had technically defeated Boko Haram, some elements were still using whatever means to wreak more havoc on Nigeria.
