Hpa-An governor Saw Aung Maung Aye told KIC that “two places of pilot project in KNU Brigade (7) called Maw Po Kay and Mae Ta Ray are not yet possible to resettle because of no water, electricity (or) fire, road and land for working.”

The area is 200-100 feet wide, wooden house and zinc roof. To be more appropriate, we have to reorganize because of the limited space. He added.

Saw Aung Maung Aye said “KNU Brigade (7) lead the construction started from 1st April to 15th July, Maw Po Kay project (50) houses have been completed construction but Mae Ta Ray project (50) houses will complete at the end of August and we have to continue manage to be complete for those who will stay.”

Moreover colonel Saw Paw Doh the committee of the resettlement told KIC that “there are many people want to stay there but we have to identify who is the real IDP and who should to stay there.

A person of KNU Brigade (7) said, “Currently the houses which we had constructed are for those people who fled from the fighting, hiding in the jungle with no houses and no land.”
