The Industrial sector is very important to development of the country. The Industry is geared largely to the processing of agricultural, mineral, and forest products. More than half of the Myanmar industrial production is accounted for by the public sector.

Within each fiscal year there is a considerable growth within this sector, and already this sector is leading the race and has received more foreign direct investment (FDI’s) than any other sector. This positive development, is a result of the change within the fiscal year format.
