Education Project to Respect and Follow Child Rights and Human Dignity under Implementation in Yangon

The education project to respect and follow child rights and human dignity has been implemented targeting at the schoolchildren in basic education schools in Yangon Region since 2013. The number of schools the project has already reached is 25, said Ar Kar Soe Naung, Chairman of Myanmar Child Rights Development Network.
Education project on child rights and their duties has been launched since 2013. Starting 2017, the title was changed to basic education level peace knowledge for all and it has been launched. The education project will finish in January 2020. The projects have been finished in 25 basic education schools.
“The education project with the title of child rights and their duties was conducted in 2013. In 2017, the title was changed to peace knowledge for all. Nowadays, crime problems are on the increase in Yangon and Mandalay, the major cities of Myanmar. Security for everyone is not in a state of safety. Everyone is afraid of each other. It is not easy to build trust. Justice is seen nowhere. “Rule of law is not seen everywhere as well.
Peaceful society can’t be built. Our main aim is that there must be justice and rule of law everywhere. We are paving the way for the children to build peaceful and secure society in their age. The project will finish in January 2020 and the projects that have already been launched in the schools in Yangon are 25,” said Ar Kar Soe Naung.
