  • The second geographical coordination meeting took place today at Ramtha, with the Regional Refugee Coordinator, Panos Moumtiz in attendance. The meeting was predominantly technical in focus, with a discussion taking place on the challenges faced by the community in Ramtha. Water has emerged as a key challenge, as the presence of the Bashabshe, Cyber City and the King Abdullah Park site place increasing pressure on the ability of the local governorate to deliver water to both the host community and the facilities. Reiterating the words of UNHCR Representative, Andrew Harper, it is critical that host communities receive support from donors.
