The MSNA was conducted as an interagency exercise in mid-2023 to provide comprehensive data for humanitarian planning and contribute to formulating the 2024 Refugee Response Plan (RRP). Its focus is on understanding the needs of the refugee households from Ukraine residing in Hungary. This year’s survey targeted nearly 700 respondents, representing over 1,500 household members. Collecting feedback from refugees, the survey report aimed to describe their evolving needs and identify barriers to services across multiple sectors, including education, protection, economic inclusion, health, mental health, and accommodation. A set of recommendations has been included in the conclusion this year. Initial findings were shared with the Refugee Coordination Forum in September 2023, followed by workshops involving refugee-led organizations (RLOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), UN agencies, NGOs, and governmental departments to ensure comprehensive analysis and accuracy.
