Since 2014, UNHCR Jordan has monitored refugee socio-economic conditions through the biennial Vulnerability Assessment Framework (VAF) – Socio-Economic Survey. To track interim trends between these assessments, the Socio-Economic Update series was introduced in 2022. Originally published quarterly and now released semi-annually, these updates follow the same refugee households over time to provide consistent and reliable trend data. This Q4 2024 edition analyzes self-reported data collected from refugee households across Jordan. It includes findings for refugees living in host communities—disaggregated by nationality and cash assistance status—as well as for Syrian refugees residing in Zaatari and Azraq camps.
