The security situation in Mali remains highly volatile, with intensified military operations, reported aerial strikes, and incidents targeting institutional assets continuing to drive displacement toward Mauritania. This week, UNHCR and partners identified 1,103 newly arrived refugees (188 families) in Bassikounou and Néma, bringing the cumulative total to around 7,310 individuals (1,161 families) since the start of the influx on 24 October.
